  • Trevor Waybright

    Lead Teaching Elder

    Trevor was born and raised in Ripley, WV and graduated from Ripley High School in 1992.  He attended Crown College in Powell, TN where he met his wife, Joy, and we were married in 1997. After he graduated they moved to Beckley, WV where he served as a youth pastor for 14 months. In early 2000, they moved to Pasco, WA and then down to Hermiston, OR where they planted Victory Baptist Church in October of that year. God taught them much about grace and mercy. God gave them three wonderful children (Jordan, Justin, and Alyssa) in the 14 years they were in Hermiston. In November of 2014, Trevor accepted the position of Lead Teaching Elder at Foundry and relocated to Bend that same month. In his spare time, Trevor enjoys reading, hiking, soccer and pretty much sports of any kind.

  • Jason Frye

    Youth Ministry

    Jason has been in youth ministry most of his ministerial life. He has served in several churches in the PNW and is now a field director for In Faith Missions Organization. He and his wife, Lisa, joined the team at Foundry Church in 2021 along with their 3 adult children. Jason has a real heart for our youth and understands the challenges they face today. Jason is also serving as the Worship Leader at Foundry.

  • Eric norgaard


    Eric was born in Portland and moved to Bend in 1967 and never left.(why would you). He grew up hunting, fishing, and farming in Bend’s good old days.

    Eric attended First Baptist/Foundry as a child and remembers Bob and Loretta Powell as his Sunday school teachers. Eric and his wife, Tammie, have been with Foundry Church since 1997 and came on staff in 2012 as the facilities director. He and Tammie have 6 children and 9 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

    Communications Coordinator/Office Administrator

    Joy was born in Florida but raised in Pasco, Washington. She met her husband, Trevor, at Crown College in Powell, TN and they were married in 1997.  They have 3 amazing children (Jordan, Justin & Alyssa). Trevor and Joy planted a church in Hermiston, Oregon where they lived  and served for 14 years before moving to Bend in November of 2014.  Joy runs the office at Foundry and serves as the communications coordinator and women's ministry leader. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, kayaking and being outdoors.

  • Annette vandezande

    Office Assistant

    Annette has been in Bend for most of her adult life and raised 4 children here. She currently runs the food pantry ministry at Foundry Church and works in the office in the afternoons. Annette is also very involved in our Young at Heart Ministry and enjoys the many activities this group offers. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, scrapbooking and other crafts. She is also known as the "cookie grandma" as she bakes amazing cookies.

  • Elissa Scott

    Children's Ministry

    Elissa was missionary kid most of her growing up years in Brussels, Belgium, with a couple years in Morocco as well. In 2011, Elissa graduated from Corban University with a BA in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, and married her college sweetheart, Eric. They then moved to Bend, where Eric was born and raised, and she taught preschool until 2017 when their daughter Evelyn was born. Elissa is currently the Children's Director at Foundry. In her spare time she loves bright colors, bugs, reading, painting, sewing, thrift shopping and spending time outside.

  • mark anderson


    Mark was born in Canada but spent a major part of his youth growing up in Mexico City. After graduating from LeTourneau College and the University of Texas, Mark spent a brief career in mechanical engineering before his family entered full time mission work. He spent the first four years in Los Angeles and Oaxaca, Mexico, then moved to Pakistan where he worked with Afghan and Iranian refugees until 2017. He and his wife Lois have four adult children and twelve grandchildren. When they returned to Bend in 2017, the Lord blessed them with three young foster children whom they adopted in September of 2021.

    Austin was born in the capital of Texas then ventured to California to meet his wife Sara and play baseball at Pepperdine University. After a brief jaunt with the Texas Rangers farm system, Austin grew up and became a husband and a math teacher. He and Sara worked and served a church plant in Amherst, MA for six years before planting roots in Bend. Shortly after moving to Bend, Austin switched careers and now owns and operates assisted living facilities around the Pacific Northwest. Austin and Sara lead Foundry's Adoption Ministry and have four children: Dominick, Nolan, Maelyn and Joseph.

    Michael moved to Bend in 2005 with his wife, Patti, and became an elder at Foundry in 2006. He focuses on discipling through teaching, mentoring,  writing and music. Although raised in Southern California, he considers his real roots to be in Lake Tahoe, where his family settled as pioneers five generations ago. He has three adult children (all girls except two boys) and five grandchildren. You can find him mountain biking, walking with his wife and goldendoodle, Moki, composing and playing music, reading, and turning strangers into friends.

    Bill graduated from Oregon State University with degrees in forestry. He then worked for the State of Oregon with the Department of Forestry and a variety of Human Resource agencies. After retiring in 1998, Bill and his wife, Carolyn, moved to Bend and soon joined Foundry Church (then First Baptist Church). He is active in both local and global missions, and seems to be called on when budget questions arise for the church and missions. In his spare time, Bill enjoys hiking our many beautiful trails in Central Oregon and reading.

    Steve and his wife, Janine, have been members of Foundry Church for over 25 years. They were married in 1981, have two sons and two grandchildren. Steve retired from a career in commercial real estate and now enjoys mission work, family, travel, fishing, backpacking, golf and investing in lives.
